Hanging Out

Here are some pictures of Alex hanging out in his pack-n-play and wearing his "sleep sack" (aka snuggy) before bed on July 26th. He loves to chew on his toy moose.

Cereal Part II

About a week into "solid" foods, Alex figured out that our food must taste better than the rice cereal that we are giving him. He likes to watch us eat. My mom has taken to calling his cereal gruel. He makes many funny faces as we attempt to feed this to him. I will try to add some pictures later.

Edited 7/24/09: Cereal and new pictures are on hold while we deal with another round of the "squirts". The pediatrician said that it has been going around lately...

Cereal!

Alex started eating rice cereal on Sunday and he is doing well with this. He has an interested in eating and watches us when we eat. He even opens his mouth for the spoon. Of course, he spits half of it out. I am posting photos from his first feeding.

Jumperoo

Alex tried out the jumperoo for the first time today. He is almost big enough. His feet just barely touch the ground in it.

Pictures from this Week

We have not been snapping as many pictures lately since Alex was sick (diarrhea and then an ear infection). Now it is time to catch up on some photos of Alex at four months.

John put together Alex's high chair this week. (We have been fortunate to receive wonderful baby gifts from family and friends!) He really likes sitting in the chair and he was able to sit in it at the table while we ate dinner the other night. He will get to use it later this weekend for his first taste of rice cereal.

I snapped a photo of him on Friday afternoon sleeping in his swing. He will take some long naps in the swing.

When Mom and I came home from Costco today, we found Alex sleeping in John's arms while he worked from his laptop.

4 Month Check-up

Alex had his 4 month check-up yesterday and he is on track. He weighs 15 pounds and 6 ounces and is 26 and 7/8 inches long. He is ready to start on rice cereal, so I will try to post about that later this weekend.

New Picture

Here is a new picture taken of Alex on July 1, 2009. He is now 4 months old, but we have not had a chance to take his new picture with Shrek. Alex is getting over his first ear infection.
